Can you add your child to your credit card in Canada?

 

Some credit card issuers will allow you to add your child as an authorized user to your credit card, even if they are under the age of majority. However in most cases, you need to be minimum 18 years old to be added as a credit card user.

If you have a teenager, you can teach them about credit building young and some of the benefits of how credit cards can help them do things like have more options renting when they are out on their own.
