Our application reaches all sixteen. It goes to the lender most likely to approve the amount and purpose you enter, and the others stay in reserve. Peterborough sends us too few personal loan applications for us to publish what the city borrows, so the figures above are the lenders' published terms and nothing else.
No. Eleven of the sixteen lenders consider a score under 560, and four set no minimum at all. The other five want a fair score or better. Income is the usual test instead: minimums run from $1,000 to $2,500 a month, and the lender wants to see it arriving regularly. Two of the sixteen accept disability or pension income.
When you borrow a few hundred dollars for a few weeks. Ontario caps that at $14 for every $100 borrowed, and you have two business days to cancel without penalty. The sixteen lenders above price in annual rates over a longer term, so work out the dollar cost of each before you choose. The province's lenders are on the personal loans in Ontario page, and every personal lender we work with is on the personal loans in Canada page.
